    I recently purchased a brother -hl2270DW printer.

I have configured for wireless access.

My macbook is able to see it and i am able to add the printer through print and scan option in system preferences, but when ever i try to print it , it says that connection failed. ANd in the print and scan it shows that the printer is in use.
Again once in a while i am able to print from the mac computer

Still cant understand why it connects at times and not at other times.

However all my windows computers are able to see the printer and work perfectly.

    Any help is appreciated.

    A couple of suggestions:

    1. Turn off Macbook, power cycle the printer, turn on Macbook and then retry printing.

    2. If #1 fails, uninstall / reinstall the printer in Macbook's System Preferences Print & Fax (power cycle the Macbook before the reinstall). Sometimes there can be a driver conflict that gets in the way and this will fix it.
