I am not looking for one of these but someone offered to trade theirs for my xbox 360 20GB, about 10 good games and a couple accessories. its a 2 GHz Intel Core Duo, it has 1 gb of memory and its Mac OS X 10.4.11 tiger. What are these things worth these days and is that a very good trade? My xbox is from 2006.

It's a fair trade. The 2007 macbook doesn't have very good resell value. I don't know if that's true for all macs but whatever. The 2007 mac was selling for $149-$199 from what I could tell. So xbox with 10 games? Cool deal.

It depends wholly on the condition of the Macbook, and which 10 games they are. If the Macbook is in very good condition, it could be worth £200-£250 ($250-$350).

its not a very good laptops... one its Core Duo, not Core 2 Duo, so your going to be stuck 32bit even in Snow Leopard.... and its also got a Intel GM950 for graphics which is totally horrid for anything past simple things... watching a movie is about the max it can do decently. Some people sell it for a lot because its apple, but I wouldn't even give USD $100 for one.

That is a steal. I dont think it is the 2007 Macbook though, probably late 2006. It has 1GB RAM so it is a Core 2 Duo most likely. You should ask for more detailed specs. $199 and $350 is way low for the Black Macbook. On Ebay it goes for around $600. Not sure how much a XBox 360 20GB goes for but definitely not $600. I say go check it out yourself.

Yeah thats what i was thinking. Its been on CL for awhile now at $600 and nobody's picked it up. It was just lowered to $400 today. I think im just gonna pass and keep what ive got, and save for a MBP.

That is a sweet deal for you. That Macbook could probably still sell for double what your xbox could sell for.

I'd definately go for the MacBook. The GMA950 that it has will most certainly put a damper on gaming, but if you don't plan on doing uber amounts of gaming or just plan on playing older games such as WarCraft III, StarCraft, and WoW, then it will do just fine. I used to have a black MacBook myself and it played WoW fairly well.
