I've been thinking of getting a Powerbook G4 for when I go to college next year. Im not a hard core gamer but there a games that I just like to play. I was wondering how powerbook plays Flight Simulator 2004, Command & C generals, and Sim City 4. My planned configuration would be as follows:

    15" screen
    2GB of ram
    100GB HD
    and a Supedrive

Having used windows all my life and having never even been in contact with an apple computer I have little experience with the brand. Most of what knowledge I do have is a result of Apple.com. My biggest concern however has been whether in OS X you get thumbnails of pictures and videos like you do in Windows XP? Also would it be better to wait for the upcoming Mac's with Intel processors? Lastly is there an MSN Messenger and MSN browser for MAC

If those games are available for the mac, then they should play just fine. Yes you will get thumbnails in OS X. Its your choice whether you wait for the macintels or not, but the powerbooks are going to be getting some sweet updates when they go with the dual core intel chips. Yes, there is MSN Messenger for mac, but there is an alternative called adium which is much nicer then messenger. I don't know about the MSN browser, as i haven't used it, but the included browser Safari is really good. I haven't bothered to try replacing it.
