i got my hands on a pismo (400/1mb/128mb/120gb) the other day. i got it with a dead harddrive so i put in a 120gb i had lying around. thing is it wont boot. all i get is the folder with the question mark, which is fine since it doesnt have an os but when i try to install linux xubuntu PPC (since i dont have osx) it boots into Open firmware. problem is when i enter mac+boot as i'm supposed to i simply get an error "default catch" something.

i havent worked with any powerpc macs before so its probably something easy as hell but i'm at a loss here. any ideas?
