Maybe you don't know what I'm talking about, let me explain. Browse Apple's Online Store until you see the "Chat Now" link (as shown in the image below). Sometime it takes a moment to load, so look at a few different products. Then click the link and ask whatever questions you want to. Afterwards, copy and paste the conversation into this thread to share your experience with the NBR Apple community. If you have the time please format your conversation for readability.

I want Leopard, so I asked the "Chat Now" people some questions about the Leopard Up-to-Date Program. I read that some users have been able to take advantage of the program even though they did not meet the qualifications. Well, I bought my Mac in July, so I clearly do not qualify. Needless to say, some information I provided (the date I purchased as October 2nd was a lie). I think that's enough background information, the following conversation was only edited for readability.

This isn't a terribly interesting conversation, sorry. Usually I get "Chat Now" people with female names. Anyways, if you choose to participate please be kind to the Apple employees and use this feature to find relevant information that you can share with everyone. Otherwise, ignore this thread completely ;).

Interesting...does it seem like the responses are "pre-made"?

Looks more helpful than Dell's customer support chats...

People should post conversations with mac support where they got discounts. I am interested in what to say to make the mac support budge.

There was a moderator edit, Keyo.

And sagebrush, Theresa is a female name...and not sure about their chat centers but it is worth noting that Apple's phone support centers are all in North America, just a note.
