    Hello ladies and gentlemen,
I tried to watch a DVD in MBP using Apple DVD player; the picture is hazy and not clear. Watching the same DVD in my 4-year-old Dell laptop (Pentium M, 1.5 GHz and 256 RAM) is clearer, brighter and the picture is not hazy too. Having said that, I am very new to the Mac OS, so I am not sure if I need to use another application for watching DVDs or what the problem is !!!
Thanks in advance for the comments

Is it the whole screen or just the video. Do internet pages compare the same between both notebooks?

Hmmm, try not to make multiple threads. Though I've tried the pre-installed Apple DVD Player and it looked fine to me. However, it may be worth trying VLC: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
