Hi, everybody, i finding a software which can easily manage my consumption, such as food, transportation, mobile phone bill... i would love to save a little money for gadgets :p but hard for me to do it, i also would like to think of your recommendation of saving for balance money in life :D

I also tried Chronicle, but it just create the day when i have to pay bill in itself and iCal, i think it nice. But i want a software to track my bill and help me calculate how long i will reach the saving purpose with my current saved money

    Sorry for my English

    Thanks you

This is unfortunately the one area which I've had to stay tethered to Microsoft. MS Money is the best personal finance software I've found so far.

I've tried a couple on the Mac including Cha-Ching and iBank, and neither came close to the functionality and ease of use that MS Money offers. Sorry I can't offer an answer to your question.

I use quicken on my DELL laptop for keeping my financial records (in addition to my file cabinets and shoe boxes full of receipts and statements of course). It does everything the OP is describing. I've considered getting Quicken for OS X and leaving my DELL for development use only.

Those that have used Quicken on the OS X, how do you like it?

    Thanks,

    Ben

hmmm, Quicken 2007 for Mac is the latest version I can see from Intuit. That is not very promising.

I see there is a product called iBank. I'm going to download it to see if I like.

*Edit: first impression was that it is really nice. It seems to have alot of trouble connecting to my bank online and downloading transactions, etc. I visited their ibank forums and saw that many others were having similar issues with my particular bank. So for that reason I do not think I will be using iBank.

And so the search continues :) perhaps I'll just use Quicken 2007 if I have to use the Mac to track my financials. I'll take a look at that mint.com service too.

May be i will try new version of Quicken when it available in Feb. I see a lot of software with can connect to bank, but my bank is not available yet, so it is important to deal with software and bank online

Because in my country, most of time is cash, i rarely trade online because i not trust e-commerce in there. But when i use cash, it hard for me to track it ><

I tried Personal Ledger for mac ( http://personal-ledger.com/) and it was pretty good but like Khris above, I also feel MSFT Money is better in fact Money's my favourite but that could be due to the fact that I'm so used to and comfortable around Money that anything else just feels like a challenge to use.

Anyhow, give Personal Ledger a try (they have a 30 day trial that you can download that works exactly like the full version so you can really get a feel for it). I know a lot of people who like it.

I've been reading some very scary reviews about quicken 2007. The new version of Quicken coming out in Feb, hopefully, will be much improved. I think they are calling the product "Quicken Essentials".

I think I'll wait until Feb and try Quicken Essentials at that time. But there is no way I'm going to invest in Quicken 2007 after reading some of the bad reviews on Apples online store. I think there was maybe one positive review out of pages and pages of negative reviews

I couldn't tell ya. I tried it for about 2-3 weeks before Christmas and then I took it off. I did like it a lot, it was definitely one of the better ones I've tried for OSX, but I'm now back to using Money.
