Well, since this subject has come up a bit in recent threads, I figured I'd create one just for this topic. What's your personal notebook/outliner/organizer of choice on OSX, and why? Assume use for both in the classroom and in the business and legal worlds.

Here's a list I dug up from somewhere:
    http://digg.com/apple/SOFTWARE_LIST_Mac_s_Best_List_Of_Personal_Notebooks

For example, I'm undecided between OneNote and Circus Ponies Notebook. For those who have used OneNote through Parallels, how well does it work with OSX and can it integrate well with OSX at all (such as Mail, the sticky notes, safari/camino, etc.)?

I tried out almost all the programs for Mac when going back to school, but found Journler to be the best of the bunch. It's free and works best for my school notes etc.

But for my personal notes and files, I like use Yojimbo. :) I had a look at DevonThink Pro, but that's more of an organiser than a note taker. Circus Ponies Notebook was nice, but I preferred having all my subjects in one place, and it was overly complicated.

I still try new program now and again as I'm never fully satisfied. :)

I'm actually loving OneNote, but my main concern is its lack of integration with OSX - that and, it means I'd have to run Parallels all the time.

I've been using omnioutliner for notes. then my notes are nearly entirely text, and fit well into that format.
