In the new SR MPBs, I first read that all of the HD options were perp drives. Then I read where only some of them (the 160's) used the perpendicular technology. Can anyone point me to a reliable source to confirm this?

Is the stock 120GB in the 15" MBP perp? the 160GB upgrade?

    Thanks,

    VV

I don't think it is. It's not mentioned on the apple website on the tech spec page.

Is the 160GB drive a perpendicular disk?

MacInTouch confirmed perpendicular technology in the 160GB 5400RPM drives:
The HDD model for the 160GB 5400RPM is Fujitsu MHW2160BHPL. All I could find was the MHW2160BH on Fujitsu's website (I think it is the same drive):
This is the drive I have in my MBP, not sure about the other drive options.

Just received my MB Pro. I have the 120Gb drive (FUJITSU MHW2120BH). According to Google, this is a PMR drive as well. Looks like the gizmodo link I posted above is correct :)
