Ok guys this ones a real brain teaser. I got a zune for christmas and was given the reciept too late to turn it in for an ipod. the zunes not bad its just not compatible with a mac. I used my parents PC but do you think if I load the Zune app in coherence mode with Parallels/VMWare i could add music to my zune via that? That would be awesome but ill probably have to use a buddy's computer or load music on an external hard drive... so gay...

you could *PROBABLY* even run crossover mac and just get the app you need to run natively. maybe.

or sell the zune at a small loss and buy an ipod. how much could it really cost you? $40 to sell a zune and buy an ipod?

the cost of vmware or crossover is probably higher than the cost of just getting the proper hardware for the job.

consider the ipod touch. its pretty fun.

Yea I reccomend you sell the zune and get an ipod. With what youd pay for software and windows it wouldnt be worth it.

You can run the Zune software through VMWare just fine to work with your Zune player. Works like a charm on my MBP, running Windows XP virtually. I would expect the same result on an MB and iMac also.

Yeah, I see no reason why Parallels/VMware Fusion won't work, it should be perfectly fine :).

And I have to say, the second generation Zunes, while I still prefer iPods, are not that bad. Competition is good, it'll help drive Apple to innovate even more, and in the end the consumer wins.
