Parallels uses an outdated version of MacFuse to allow you to write to NTFS outside its virtualization windows (Parallels Explorer or something)

I'm sure it would conflict in some way or other with my current version of MacFuse.

Has anyone had experience with reinstalling the latest version of MacFuse over it and gotten both to work?

Does this same issue exist with VMWare Fusion?

its shouldn't be a conflict actually. unix generally doesn't have a problem with letting different versions of apps run side by side.

vmware fusion does use the ntfs 3g macfuse thing.
