Looking for a neat photo organizer to display my organized photos. Photos in one neat location. If I am not mistaken, it seems iPhoto uses (or creates) duplicates of the same image file. Even if not, I wonder if there are other options out there?

Also what are some popular software pages for MacOSX with, hopefully, open-source or freeware content??

thank you so much for dealing with my apple noobness as of late. been reading macrumors forums nonstop trying to learn as much as i can!

If you go to the advanced portion of the preferences for iPhoto you can uncheck the box that says, "Copy items to the iPhoto Library." Now it won't duplicate each photo when you import them into iPhoto.

iPhoto :p No really, lol. Honestly I wouldn't know since I've been perfectly happy with iphoto since I started using it.
