    Hey guys,

I am looking for an original replacement battery for my 2012 MBP 13" (MD101), but prefarably not the cheap generic stuff.

Anyone perhaps know if i would be able to get it ?

I think the battery's model number is A1322

    Thanx

The batteries aren't designed for you to replace them. If you need a new one, just get Apple to do it since you're almost certainly still under warranty.

This is not a warranty-related issue,so that does not answer my question.
And FYI the battery is user-replaceable, and I am more than capable of doing it myself.

people.. get over yourselves.... yes you can change out the battery in the machine, its not hard.

But the question comes down to... why? Why would you be getting one for a machine thats still under warranty? Did you somehow damage the battery yourself?

Well yes you can replace the battery yourself. I think on iFixit are much tutorials and you are able to pruchase one.
But if your still under the warrenty, i would recommend you to let apple replace it.
However, if you replace the battery yourself, and go wrong/damage something, you and your warrenty are screwed.

Apologies if i came across as being arrogant. Not one of my best days.

    Heres the situation:
    Bought 2 Macbook Pro's (13")
One brand new from an iStore and then a month later a secondhand one from a local classifieds site. The seller claimed that the Macbook had been in a car accident and wasn't operational as the battery, RAM and hdd had been removed, and no charging adapter was included. But i got it for a bargain @ around $150. I have since installed ram/hdd and managed to get an AC adapter, now all that i need is a battery and then HOPEFULLY i'll have two Macbook Pro's.

    1 for me (NEW)
    1 for my wife (Used)

ah ok, try ifixit for parts, I dont know where you can find one though. But yes while easy to replace, it voids the warranty and thats what I meant by user replaceable

Since you are still under warranty, check your power cycle, and if it is under 1000 cycle it should be covered under warranty. I have gotten it replaced under 1 year warranty on mine. Battery is user replaceable, it kinda tricky, but still replaceable.
