    Hey guys, I've finally found a buyer for my Alienware laptop so it looks like I'll be picking up the Macbook tomorrow.

    Few final questions:

    #1 15 or 17 Inch? I can't decide for the life of me. This will be used as a main computer and will be used for HEAVY video editing, but at the same time it will be taken to classes for college.

    #2 How do I go about ordering in store? I'll be using the education discount and paying via cold, hard cash (That I received via the Western Union payment). I might want a few custom specs and I'll be using the education discount.

    #3 I'm planning on replacing the HDD with something I have in mind, The 7200RPM 500gb doesn't have enough storage and the 750gb 5200RPM isn't fast enough... But which should I get to "keep around" or put in an external enclosure? (Specs being which HDD and screen to get, MAYBE RAM from 4 to 8gb but I highly doubt it)

    #4 I'm planning on upgrading the RAM myself, Which would be "the best" in terms of performance, reliability, and speed?

    #5 APPLECARE (SUPER Important!), Is it worth it? If I wanted to hold off for a few months and maybe attach it later would there be problems? Would it cost more later on?

    Hopefully I'll be typing replies from the new computer tomorrow, Hope to hear some answers.

    Thanks!

    I would say 17" for the exra screen realestate

    .

    Go into an Applestore and talk to them, most stores can order in a custom config for you. if you order custom spec though it wont ge around that day inless your very lucky
    )
    get the cheapest drive then I would say pull the optical drive out and run and SSD/HDD combo

    doesnt really matter at all, I run everything from Kingston valu ram to Mushkin performance.

    I cant stress this enough. YES GET IT. off warranty parts for MBP's are horridly expensive. but yes you can get it anytime before the first year expires.
