    Are there any reasonably priced optical bay harddrive adapters for 2011 MBP 13" that I can buy from a reliable online retailer? (not ebay)

    I'm trying to help my cousin out so I don't really want to send her a bunch of ebay links.

    OWC and maxupgrades have nice looking adapters, but the price is a joke for what you are getting.

    I had considered double stick tape before buying the OWC adapter.

    If you have not looked inside the machine yet,do so.
    I just didn't want any tape residue in case there was a problem with the machine later and I had to get it serviced.

    I agree the adapters may seem overpriced but they are very specific and the OWC is machines from anodized aluminum and is nice.....mostly.
    Mine didn't even really fit correctly and I could not get all the screws to fit but with an SSD being so light I went with it anyway.

    maxupgrades is the cheapest place around the web for that (not counting ebay)
