I have 2010 MBA 11" (see sigs below). I noticed that when I open a large PDF file, say more than 10MB, the Preview app chokes and slow. Scrolling just one page takes minutes.

I know it's not due to the MBA specs, because I can open the same large PDF in the following manner without any slowness:

1). Nitro PDF in Windows 7 in VMWare Fusion running in MBA
2). Adobe Acrobat in Atom notebook (bought in 2007, so it's much less powerful than MBA).

I wonder if anyone experiences this and have any solution. I am thinking it maybe the Preview app itself or some other apps that I install, but couldn't figure out what.

did you try using Acrobat Reader instead of preview?

I've never had this issue with Preview... strange.
