    Hey everyone,

Just did a fresh install of XP on my bootcamp partition. And I can't gat any drivers to work correctly with the 9600m GT. Tried several drivers from Laptopvideo2go.com, but they keep reverting to a basic VGA res and color depth. It will not let me adjust any settings.

It says sothing about the currently installed graphics drivers was written for a previous windows installation, so teh default VGA driver will be used.

If anyone has any info to help a guy out here it would be greatly appreciated.

I never experienced any issues like this on either Vista x64 or Win7 X84/64.

    Looking forward to your replies.

just use the beta mobile drivers off the nvidia website after making sure you installed the boot camp drivers, per doh's advice.

have the bootcamp drivers installed. I did the fresh install and then did the Bootcamp drivers. Still the same issues. If I unintslall the video drivers it will give me the proper resolution. Will try teh bootcamp again. I downloaded the updated 2.1 for XP will try them again and see what happens with this one.

boot camp 2.1 actually caused more problems for me than 2.0 but to each his own. i really recommend trying nvidia's drivers straight off their website.

Well the 2.1 is nothing but problems for me also. Eerything is working now. Still unable to use any video drivers other then the ones on the bootcamp install disk.

I the released ones from Nvidia and the latest ones form laptopvideo2go.com and nothing seems to work.

I agree Vista was so much smoother to install then XP.

have you tried deleting your BC partition and starting over? I'm thinking something got corrupted or BC doesn't want you to install XP. hehehe

Well a fresh install doesn't correct the issue. Funny things if I winclone back my Win7 or Vista X64 partition the issue is non existent. Oh well. I just hope the Apple drivers are decent for a little gaming from time to time.

I am having the same problem with my Macbook, but with no VGA support what-so-ever. I have a nice external that I could use for gaming, but I couldn't find out a way to get it to work... :p Also, the Apple drivers are just as good as Nvidia's for me, but that might not be the case if you are really keen on the FPS differences... ;)

Gave up on XP and installed Win7 and everything works like a charm. Now if I can just get this blueness out of this screen color. Urghhhh my screen is terrible.
