I have pretty much decided this is the laptop for me. A few questions for those who recently purchased:

    1) Which upgrades are most important:
    a) 128mb to 256mb for graphics card (extra $300)
    b) 120gb @5400 rpm to 160gb @7200 rpm for harddrive (extra $225)

Also, What do I need to bring with me for Student Discount (college ID?) and does apple sell bootcamp or will I need to purchase that from 3rd party.

    note: I do minimal gaming.

Bootcamp is a beta download from Apple. It is free. It will be included in Leopard when it is released.

Honestly you don't need to do either upgrade really. The 5400rpm drive is plenty fast, and the extra VRAM isn't really going to benefit you if you're doing minimal gaming.

For the student discount, your college ID would be fine. If you don't bring it with you, they might ask you to login to your college e-mail account as proof.

The 128MB model is plenty powerful, even for light gaming. I myself just picked one up with the student discount and got my free iPod Nano too.

Stick with the 128MB model, but do get the Apple Care.

For the student discount, all you need to do is log in to your school's website if you can, or show a student ID. If you're going to be starting in the fall, bring your letter of admission.
