Hello, with the recent reasonable prices of the MBP i am considering teh purchase. But how well do you think crysis will run on it? with medium, do you think i will have good FPS?

If you're talking about the new macbook pro, It'll do fine with crysis on windows of course. I use a HP dv5t which has a 9600GT with 512 DDR2 ram. Crysis is playable at 1680*1050 with all settings at medium.
The Macbook Pro will do even better because it has a 9600 GT with 256 DDR3 ram and the screen is only 1440*900 resolution.

Oops, the old one has a 8600 GT 256 DDR3 ram. The old one only scores around 3400 in 3dmark06. Crysis won't be great at medium settings, you might have to set some settings at low or lower the resolution.

@LongLiveLife: Might as well get the Gateway P7811-FX. The GeForce 9800M GTS blows away the 9600M GT. With the Gateway laptop, you get more specs for less money than Apple. It will play Crysis at 1680x1050 at medium-high settings with >20 FPS, where as the MBP will struggle at 1440x900 with low-medium.

Meh, I played crysis on my 8600 128mb.

Had to tweak settings, i think i lowered the res too, but yea, I played it, I beat it.

    Should be fine.

Overclock the 9600M GT, you can get it at clock speeds above that of the otherwise identical 9700M GT.
