I have done a clean install of win server 2012, and surprise! it asks me to login using crtl + alt + del, however the problem is that I havent installed the necessary keyboard drivers yet!

Does anyone know a solution to this?

Im going to try to use a vm redirecting to that install, and see if I can setup the drivers that way

Well I solved the problem, parallels saved the day, however Im unable to install all the drivers, and using the bootcamp utility forces me to do a restore each time (there is one emulation that keeps getting in the way, if I delete it I get instability, if I keep it, I dont get to boot).

Currently thinking of the hassle to use the visual studio 2012 is worth the effort (I had to install win 2012 since it was the only new windows available to me that came with .net 4.5XXXX, since win 8 RP still uses only 4.5), I think I will keep using the rc version.

interesting enough I never had so much trouble to install and use win 2008 r2.

currently the best way that I can see to do this is:

    install win 2012

    use parallels to login in:

    1) install bootcamp drivers, but not the utility, do remove the utility if its installed it causes instability. (since you are emulating you aint going to install all the drivers, i.e. networking, display, touchpad)

    2) I had a major hiccup regarding the use of the intel HD 3000 drivers in win 2012, I had to download new ones from intel, since the ones provided by MS are the basic ones (again you are emulating, so you wont be able to install, go to windows for that)

I had the usual problem to connect via wi fi and ethernet, you can download some hacked drivers over the web, I didnt install though, I remember the solution when I had to install win 2008r2, unless you can install the drivers in bootcamp that is, I was never successful.

Aside those initial woes, its all working currently, however I have already got fed up half way through, meaning before I tried to fix the network woes.

One thing that I noticed is that I can put a huge res in parallels, and sincerely unless Im gaming, Im going to use windows that way from now on, Im currently on 1920*1200, in a 1280*800 panel, its lovely, it makes me wonder why I didnt fiddle with that before, and worry if Im going to ruin my screen that way.

PS: My win 2012 version is the database with GUI version.

You are using Parallels to install Windows Server 2012 in a virtual machine, or on a bootcamp partition?

I used parallels as a means to put the necessary keyboard drivers in place, without those I wouldn't be able to log in, since I need to press crtl+alt+del

nope, but the idea to use parallels worked, so I will stick to that, Im actually thinking really hard about buying it, to get a 1920*1200 res in a 13'' is one thing that I miss dearly and with dpi set at 125% its extremely comfortable to work with
