I just got my brand new Macbook Pro and love it. However I downloaded Mac Office 2004 Trial and set up Entourage. I than ran the update wizard and after trying to set up Excel it gave me a message that my trial had expired. The computer is literally a hour old so I'm not sure how this could be possible. Anyone have a solution?

You can download the most recent trial version on Microsoft's website. www.mactopia.com

Just use Spotlight to see every file related to MS Office on your Mac and drag them all to the trash and empty it. Then download the new trial.

He should actually use NeoOffice. It's OS X native. OpenOffice requires installation of X11 tools, not worth the trouble.

    You can get NeoOffice here.
    http://www.neooffice.org/neojava/en/index.php

Comes with Word processing, Spreadsheet and Presentation software all for free. Many companies use it to replace Microsoft's expensive licensing for Office. NeoOffice is fully compatible with MS Office.
It runs a bit slower FYI.

I'm suspecting that the version that shipped with your Mac is outdated.
