Just wondering if this is happening to anyone else, thought it was pretty unusual. I bought a Aluminum 2.0ghz macbook not too long ago, I am encountering some glitches here and there, not sure if its OSX or the applications.

Here are the glitches I've been running into:

Firefox 3: lots of glitches on the mac version, pretty surprised since I've been a happy firefox user on windows for years. Some examples are: sometimes nothing happens when bookmarks or links are clicked, sometimes bookmark menu icons appear to be stacked onto of each other while scrolling through them, sometimes you can't type anything into the browser or page.

Safari: sometimes bookmark menu icons appear to stack on top of each other while scrolling through them, similar to firefox.

Spaces/Microsoft office 2008: Sometimes when going from one space to another, the application selected does not appear on top, most common while using microsoft office.

Well welcome to the mac world, right?
But, I just want to make sure that I am not the only one encountering these issues, since this is not common in windows, and I don't know if this is normal on a mac.

Add to the list of glitches if you want :p

It's usually not that common. I haven't had any of those problems with my alum macbook. You should run some diagnostics.

the firefox/safari thing sounds strange, maybe something wrong with your actual bookmarks, did you copy them from elsewhere?
i have been using safari/firefox for a long time win/mac version and never had that issue.
the space and office issue is well known, don't know if there is a fix for it, maybe give it a little bit of a google.

There are some known issues with Spaces and Office 2008. Mactopia had some articles or something up about it before

Haven't had any of your problems, and I use those same apps regularly.

I can report the glitches with spaces and Office. So far its been only an annoyance for me, thankfully no crashes or lost data yet. Never heard of the safari bug that you reported, and I rarely use FF. Not sure why but just didn't like v2 or 3 that much on the mac, couldn't put my finger on exactly what it was, but I just feel safari is a bit nicer for me. NB: I used v1 & 2 on the pc of FF and loved it. But ironically hated safari on the pc.

I find FF 3 to be quite unstable(no problems with FF2) and I've had a few random program crashes. I get more crashes than I would have liked after hearing all these wonderful things about OSX but they are not enough to make me go back to Windows so I can live with it.

I would never expect firefox to be fully stable on any platform.

It's constantly being updated, and tweaked.

But yea, thats just my opinion on firefox. Safari on the other hand has never crashed for me at all.
