After I played a little Spores on windows and switched back to OS X things were slow in responding. When I type it takes a second for the letters to show up, changing the screen brightness also took a second or two to display. I checked iStats and it says the CPU was at like 64C that's in the normal range AFAIK. Does anyone know why it slowed down? I turned off the MBP for a minute or two then turned it back on and the speed picked up, spotlight didn't show result right away but after a minute it runs normal now.

During the slowdown, was there a dot in your spotlight icon on the top right corner of your screen? Chances are something got changed in Boot Camp that required Spotlight to re-index the Mac HD.

Ah! I did change my C drive name in boot camp because the untitled drive was bothering me, perhaps that caused that? Thanks!

****, does renaming the drive mess up the computer?

No, it's just Spotlight reindexing the drive. It'll be back to normal in a few minutes.
