I prefer Firefox, although Safari has gotten better.

I just use Safari - it has a more "Mac" feel to it IMO.

I use Firefox for better compatability and some extensions. Another good one to look at is Camino.

If I were to use OS X sometime, I'd prefer using Opera, just as I do on windows. It'd ease the transition more, and I'm so used to Opera's hotkeys I'd constantly mess up in FireFox.

Seems like a nice browser to play around with, I like the transparency of some of the windows.

Have a link to get this software? Or is it beta only available to beta testers?

I'm always up for trying new things. It appears to give Safari a run for its money, hopefully that is also something Apple will update in Leopard.

    Download the beta version here:
    http://hmdt-web.net/shiira/en
There are links for the stable version too, but it's not quite as cute. Shiira is based on Webkit, the same rendering engine from Safari (evolved from KDE's), as opposed to Gecko which is used by Firefox and Camino.

Definitely beta, it crashed the moment I opened it. :p

Looks pretty nice, I'm not sure if I like the pagedock because it takes up so much real estate.

So wooky, I can access tab browsing fine but I have no idea how to enable the page forward/backward animation to make the pages "flip." Any pointers? I have a Macbook which came with Tiger so I know it's compatible.

Haven't tested myself, but it should be accessible after you check the box for 'Uses page transition effect' in the 'Appearance' tab of Shiira preferences. I found that a lot of prefs in beta 2 are grayed out, not sure about this one.
::EDIT:: Just looked, it seems to be completely missing. Weird. You might try the stable version.
