Run Apple Software Update or go to Apple Support Downloads to get the OS X 10.4.11 Update. There are many additional updates as well.

The 10.4.11 Update is recommended for all users running Mac OS X Tiger and includes general operating system fixes that enhance the stability, compatibility and security of your Mac. This update also includes Safari 3, the latest version of Apple's web browser.

About the Mac OS X 10.4.11 Update
And on a somewhat related note, ThinkSecret reports that the OS X 10.5.1 Update is expected by the end of the week?

I was pleasently surprised that Apple is still supporting OS 9. Brings back memories. And I'm hoping that the Presenter Mouse 8000 support carries over to the Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000 that I have, although I really haven't had much issue with it. It just takes a little longer than usual to get a stable connection when I first activate it.

I'm disappointed that the data move data loss issue wasn't corrected though. I was thinking that the reason why 10.4.11 was delayed so long was because they had to go back and fix it.

So Safari 3 is out of Beta now? Is it running any better?

Well Safari 3 has been out of beta since Leopard was released and 10.4.11 comes with the same version as Leopard only with Web-Clip removed. The final version does seem faster and thats what others report.

I don't know if 10.4.11 comes with new drivers. I hope it does in anticipation of Quake Wars and UT3.

I think so. There were noticeable performance improvements with my iMac G5. Applications open quicker and Safari 3 is a nice improvement over Safari 2 (I never tried the Beta though). Among other things. You said you have a download limit, right? So you may want to download the update through Apple Support Downloads. That way you can save the file and never have to download it again.

My MBP running Leopard had a System Update today, but I didn't see what it was. Um, anyone know if there's been anything for Leopard today? It automatically downloaded and installed it.
