Before deciding what to buy, I needto know if Nvidia's reference drivers from their site will install on the new i5/7 MacBook Pros.

I think they won't because of the none-standard dual GPU setup, but I'd like to know for sure from someone who's doing it.

If you can't, I don't think I'll bother spending extra on a 512MB model, since I won't really be able to use it for Windows. Probably save the money and just go with the cheapest 15 or even 13".

Semi related, are these things HDCP compliant for external monitors for BLu Ray?

    They don't have a Blu-ray drive.

Yeah, but you could use external, assuming the output is HDCP compiant and Nvidia's drivers will install.

ref drivers will work but you will have no graphics switching. Discreet only

OSX does not support Blu-Ray. And no BD drive is available unless you attach an external and setup windows to run it and I have had to use software to deal with the HDCP on the MBP, I am not sure if other users have had to or not.

Awesome! No integrated is fine with me-I just want the GPU, especially in Windows where I'm probably rebooting for games and stuff.

Thanks for the info! Guess I'm going with either a high end 15", or the 17" (matte? Who knows)

Hmm... So maybe no HDCP? Well, at least it'll handle games.
