I have a new, two week old, black macbook. The two finger right click isn't working though (the two finger scroll does work, however). Is there something I need to do to enable it?

You have to enable it in System Preferences. It should be under Keyboard & Mice, and the Trackpad tab.

System Preferences > Keyboard and Mouse > Trackpad (tab) > checkmark "place two fingers on trackpad and click for secondary click"
