    Is there no svideo out with the mbp? How can i hook it up to my old tv?

    there is an adapter that converts a the dvi to an a/v output, unless its a really old tv that should work.

    theres something im confused about. why include a dvi to vga adapter. since the laptop has both vga and dvi ports whats the point of having this adapter?

    You're mistaken; the MBP only has DVI.

    The MacBooks/Pros don't have VGA out.
