This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     I'm thinking of waiting for the next MBP before buying the new one. When do you think it will come out? Do you think i should just buy one?

    Probably about 4 months before an update will arrive. The update won't be much more than a new CPU and hard drive I expect.

    There's a small possibility that a CPU/hard drive update could occur around the time of MacWorld next month.

    new cpu, slightly larger hard drive, slightly faster gpu maybe. thats all i would expect.

    I would say not for another 2-3 months, probably March area would be the next update. I do not expect Macworld to be about the Mac notebooks again, it seems more focused on either Snow Leopard, or since the rumours are swirling, the iPhone Nano!

    There might not even be a real update until the fourth quarter of next year when Intel's new Nehalem mobile processors are released. Just get one now, the models haven't been out so long.
