I got a new drive and I cloned my other one to it, but now I can't set up boot camp. I get this error. [IMG] It's partition as OS X extended Journaled, and there is only one partition. [IMG]

    Anyone know what's wrong?

Did you first fully format your new drive to HFS+ before restoring your old drive onto it?

I went into disk utility and when to partition>Format> Mac OS Extended (Journaled) (Witch is HFS+ if I'm not wrong)

I had the same problem when I backed up and restored my partition. It was a pain for me to figure it out, but yea.

The problem for me was that the partition table wasnt a GUID partition table.

Check out the image below, youll have to reformat with that partition table.

I don't get what to do, just create another partition? and format it as Mac OS Extended (Journaled)?

OKay so I know what to do now, I will have to clear the drive and start over. Now I'm debating to do a fresh install or not. If I just back up applications and some other settings with CCC, will I have to reinstall all those application? How does it work? What other things should I back up to save my preferences/settings?

Uhh, all you have to do is boot up from the external backup, and then format your internal hdd, and make sure its formatting it with a GUID partition table.

No, it's working now, they should have the option for partition map scheme on the main page, I can see a lot of people do this. Maybe it will change in snow leopard.
