My opinion? Better, but not good enough. I want the price to be lowered before we add more. :(

You can buy an iphone for 250 from rogers as an upgrade without having to go to the data plan. It's a promotion across canada

75 texts aren't much, it is an improvement but not good enough, yeah. I do like the 1 GB data.

With Telus and Bell going 3G next year, I hope it brings down every carrier's fees!

Telus and Bell have been "going 3G next year" for a few years now. I'll believe it when it actually happens, and then I'll point and laugh at Ted Rogers as he scrambles to figure out how to keep his customer base! :)

Has anyone else ever noticed thier plans are alsways so similar. Let's face it they are all sitting around laughing at us silly Canadians. The plans will always stay close to each other, but well above any other US provider. Until the big three start seeing some serious OUTside competition they have us all by the short and curleys.

You're right, newfiejudd...I do hope Telus and Bell go 3G soon. Once they unify behind GSM where everyone is challenging everyone directly, then hopefully prices go down. And with the wireless spectrum auction done, and Globalive coming in later, that'll help.

I think in general, this I do give Canada's telecom companies some leeway, is the vast expanse of our country and the relatively low population. The companies have to lay out networks to cover a wide area of land, but in no way will they get the same amount of subscribers as they do in more densely packed places like parts of USA and Asia.

Of course, I still do think we're being overcharged (honestly, just because we don't have a choice do we). I'd like to see that changed.

75 text messages?...I'd probably use that up in like 1 or 2 days. I'm on Bell right now but I'll be switching over to rogers in like a month. Probably won't get the iPhone though...I'm liking the N95/N96 xD

For Rogers, that's considered pretty good. :(
