    Hi, I was just surfin the web and came up across this article.

    Last sentence states that the new G5 based powerbooks are 2 weeks away ! Plus it says that the new Ipods are comin, not sure if that interests anyone....

    no, that article doesn't say there will be a G5 in the PowerBook. If you read it says "Specifics, however, remain scarce surrounding the PowerBook and Power Mac G5 update", it's highly doubtful Apple will do anything more significant with the G5 in regards to the PowerBook with the switch to Intel coming in about 8 months.

    Can you read English? It's Powerbook G4; the G5 is for Power Mac and it's there for years. There's nothing dramatic in the article!

    Any chances of the new powerbook having a complete new design? The silver keyboard makes the unit look cheap.

    For me i find the plasticky white on the ibooks look cheap.

    another G5 rumor for PowerBooks goes down in flames, I think we can safely put this rumor to bed now and just assume the next big processor change will come with an Intel chip and the G5 will never be cool enough to make it into the PowerBook -- they'd be wasting their time to try all that hard at this point in the game.
