I just bought my first macbook yesterday. ^^
I'm trying to install Windows XP, but cannot find bootcamp nowhere in my macbook. I believe Leopard comes with bootcamp??
Application -> Utilities doesnt show me any bootcamp.
Am I missing something here?
I'm logged in as administrator by the way.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thank you!

Boot Camp Assistant in Applications > Utilities

Did your Mac come with Leopard pre-installed? Or did you get one with Tiger and a Leopard Drop-In DVD? You can check by clicking the Apple Menu and selecting About this Mac. OS X 10.5 is Leopard. If you do not have Leopard installed locate the Drop-In DVD and install Leopard.
Also try Spotlight to search for "Boot Camp".
If you have Leopard already installed, but still cannot find Boot Camp do the following...
Insert your Leopard DVD. Open Terminal.app (Applications>Utilities) and enter this code to Show Hidden Files:
Code:defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE killall Finder
Code:defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles FALSE killall Finder
NOTE: You cannot install Boot Camp 2.0 (the version included on the Leopard Install DVD) on Mac OS X 10.4. -
Thanks for your help Xander!
I had the Leopard pre-installed..but not sure why bootcamp wasnt installed already. Anyways, your help solved the problem.
Are there anything else that might have not been installed already? and that I would need to install it from the Leopard disc?
Thanks -
It's odd that Boot Camp was not installed. If I were you I would probably reinstall Leopard myself with the "Erase and Install" option.
If you've already installed Windows, don't worry, you don't have to reinstall Windows too. Installing OS X is fast in comparison to Windows. Also, if you Customize the Leopard Install by excluding Printer Drivers and Additional Languages you can save over 5GB of disk space (probably more I can't remember the exact amount). You can also exclude other things, like iLife, to save even more space. There is a Customize button you need to click during the install process. Of course you can delete these files after the installation too, if you know where to look. I'm rambling now.
