Hi, I've been reading a lot on these forums, and I just bought a MBP..

I wanted to test the waters of OS X and at a good price, I couldn't resist.

    So my question is,

How good is RAID 0 in OS X?

I read that it is software based, and that it is also not recognized in Windows when using bootcamp.

Also, I've seen some LPM issues with the m4 drives in Macbooks, are they fixed now?

Finally, would you recommend RAID 0 in a MBP Mid-2009 model, for 2*64GB SSD?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks.

You want to do this for performance or because 2 64GB SSDs are cheaper than one 128GB SSD?

I would not recommend RAID 0 for any device with multiple operating systems. A RAID is always a risk. Every time you make a drive update / SSD firmware update you need to worry if the raid is going to be fine after.

I already bought 2 64gbs off the marketplace..

So I thought I could try out RAID!

    Is it a feasible/worthy plan?
