AppleNews got a tip from an extremely reputable source, the same that gave them early pictures of the new MacBook, that Apple will be releasing the MacBook Mini on April 8. The MacBook Mini will be released with $699 and $899 models. Both models will include a revolutionary touch screen, aluminum chassises (though not unibody), Intel Atom processors, a 10" LED backlit screen, OS X Leopard, a NVIDIA motherboard, a 9400M, and up to 4GB RAM. It aims to be a full-featured computer that's affordable for everyone. It will be just .8" thick and features a full-size keyboard and touchpad.

Hmmmmm...now how do I justify this since my MBP is only about 7-8 months old and my wife's N10 is only about a month or so old....
Any idea on storage capacities? -

Possible, but I thought that Intel required the Atom CPU to ship with certain limitations, like the GMA 950. The NVidia 9400 with the Atom CPU makes me suspicious.

Please guys don't turn this thread into something it's not. The OP created this thread as an April Fools joke. If you don't see that then, well, yeah, you're the fool.

This april foolishness is getting annoying...

While I do think some April Fools joke gets old but I found some humor from this. I still think Apple will release a netbook, iTablet, MacBook Tablet or whatever you wanna call it sooner or later. I love gadgets so I would probably get one if they ever do release one but I would wait for Rev B though.

This will be great!, especially to the Apple consumers that are on a tighter budget. It will be great for students that want to experience a Mac, Leopard, portability, and all at a nice price to go with it.
