on the 2.4ghz model. fear: combat. ALL options set to MAXIMUM- then manually set anti aliasing to 2x and aniso filter to 4x.

manually set the resolution to native: 1440x900

    benchmarking was done using FRAPS

then i joined up a server. ran around. shot things. things blew up. etc. for 60 seconds exactly.

my computer rendered 3473 frames in 60000 ms, with a minimum frame rate of 25 fps, a maximum of 83 fps, and an average of 57.833 fps.

    chew on that. mmm...

just to keep you up to date, i did the same test (using the same settings) on CS:S video stress test an achieved 112 fps average

    i also ran a standard 3dmark 06 test and scored 3406 3dmarks.

    enjoy!

i am on windows xp. the whole "experience index" gimmick doesnt phase me. i haven't tried touching the clocks with ntools. im sure i could- the card is obviously underclocked slightly- at least while looking at the desktop. it might actually upclock on its own for games, im not sure. i want to have a way to monitor temperature in game first.

i dont think xp runs hotter than osx.

obviously if you are playing a game that doesnt hold true...

but i havent tried osx gaming yet. probably comparable.
