    Maybe a stupid question,

Since they dont have any vent. Does the new MB or MBP need a laptop cooler?
How is the temperature on intense gaming?

    tq.

Yeah, but the bottom part of the laptop does not have any vent for the cool air from the cooler to go in.

so in conclusion.. MB/MBP dont need cooler?

I've stressed mine a fair bit doing encoding etc, and even when the cpu temp hits 80-82 the lower back chassis only gets warm - but nowhere near the scalding that the aluminum chassis' used to.

My opinion, no cooler is necessary unless you find otherwise and it's uncomfortable for your personal use.

Same here. I have no need for a cooler. My MBP will get warm to the touch but as far as needing the cooler I was using with my HP dv1000 -- well, that guy is going into storage....Looks like thigh burn is a distant memory :p

not necessary, especially on the new MB and MBP! laptop should be able to cool things on its own (except if it has a design flaw). turning on the air con is more beneficial.

    i personally wouldnt buy one.

YES! in conclusion, no cooler is necessary. the new MB/MBP dont need a cooler.
keep the room temperature below 35c is a good idea. set the aircon around 24-26 or lower.
