    Hi all,

I just wanted to say that, I purchased a Macbook and iWork 09 and loving it! The laptop is amazing, it just works...

I've previously had a windows laptop which gave a lot of trouble and got sick and tired of windows. So I decided to take the plunge and I'm glad I did. I'm still trying to learn how to use and get around leopard.

Congrats, hope you enjoy it. I have the current generation white MB and it has been nothing but a delight to use. Heck it even plays a mean game of World of Warcraft :)

Yep, got the 9400m which feels pretty fast for an integrated card :)

It definitely is! I can play COD:5 at settings above what I originally expected, and the graphics have been excellent for an IGP. I don't see how an 8800GTX doesn't cut it for some people, because the 9400M cuts it for me. :D ;)

Some people just demand everything at max no problem. Such are the people who say the gtx280 isn't good enough.

That really bothers me, because if they are like that about graphics, then there's a good chance that nothing will ever be enough in real life. :( . Anyways, it's a good graphics card, and will be great for the OP's needs. ;)

What do you mean by a bit pricey? I'm just curious. I hear that a lot on the board and wondered to myself, what's the average price of a comparably equipped laptop?

OP, Welcome to the club. I picked mine up this past Wednesday. I haven't had one single hiccup. I absolutely love my new MacBook. I keep saying to myself, why on earth hadn't I switched earlier? I can't wait to see what Snow Leopard has in store for us.

People with high end cards tend to max out everything including AA/AF, play on extreme high resolutions and expect high frames (more than 60fps). You won't notice how weak IGPs are (comparing to high end) until you actually test the high end ones.

    Thanks all,

So far, the laptop has been working wonderful. I've added my music into iTunes, photo's into iPhoto and formated my 120gb iPod to Version. Macintosh.

I've started getting use to the operating system, you really get the hang of it quickly.

The viewing angle hasn't bothered me at all, the picture quality overall is outstanding!

Yes, we'll be more than happy to help you.....As long as the questions are positive ones, and no ranting, and no saying anything bad about the Mac and don't uncover flaws to tell the forum that will make Apple look bad. If you can do that we're here for ya! ;)
