    Need help from Quicktime Experts

    Ever since I upgraded to Quicktime 7.2 and later, my software which depends on Quicktime no longer works correctly. The software in question is Merriam Webster Visual Dictionary. The pronunciation is broken.

    After playing around, I noticed that Quicktime 7.2 adds a new latency to the preference menu. See pictures:

    Lowering the latency seems to fix the problem a bit but not completely. The lowest latency that I can put there is 1 ms. If I put zero, it reverts back to 1 ms. Anybody knows how to force the latency to zero? The latest version of Quicktime (v 7.6) has the same exact problem.

    BTW: I use Windows XP SP3.
