    need ipod help

    hi, i know this may not be the exact spot to post this, but its somewhat related. my ipod is about to die and i need to copy all the mp3's off of it without messing up the songs names (i know if you copy/paste it renames some songs to SF57KLY or something like that). so is there a reliable program out there you guys would recommend to me for getting my songs onto my lappy? by the way, i am using windows XP. i also dont mind buying a program if i know it will work, so it doesn't have to be free.

    i'm starting to back up my Ipod, but i am getting quite a few songs that will not copy over, either through program or when i open the Ipod folder up manually. any ideas on how to get these songs onto my lappy? they play fine on my Ipod.

    Possibly those few songs have DRM if they were purchased in the iTunes store? I believe most recovery tools are really intended to be used to recover plain MP3 files.

    Another thought...there's 3 apps listed here, did you try a different one to see if that would work? HTH

    I'm hearing good things about yamipod. I will try that out and get back here. BTW, i did try all the suggested programs, and corrupted files aside, they worked great.
