Here is the story. I used bootcamp to install windows xp. I erased the windows xp because i never used it. Now I want to install windows 7. When I try to get on bootcamp, it says:The startup disk must be formatted as a single Mac OS Extended (Journaled) volume or already partitioned by Boot Camp Assistant for installing Windows. Can I use the same partition to install windows 7? If I can, how do i install it? Because I've tried to stick the cd in but nothing happened..Yeah..I'm noob...And if i cant install windows 7 on the same partition, how do I restore my partition back onto my mac? How do I fix this problem? Thank you xD

You should be able to use that partition to install windows 7. What you need to do is hold the option key with the windows 7 disc in the drive. A menu should come up shortly after boot up and you can select the disc. After you select the disc it should take you to the "install windows 7" set up. From there you should be able to install it onto the partition xp was on. Should be... lol
