    Hello everyone,

I know I am a little late to the party, but I've finally posted a review of my (ridiculously) shiny new Apple MacBook Pro: 2.8GHz C2D, 4GB RAM, 320GB hard disk. Actually, it's less of a review and more of a comparison with my existing first-generation Macbook Pro.

(Please copy and paste the link above as I don't have enough posts yet on this forum to post links, apparently.)

In case you're in the same boat as I was and looking to upgrade, perhaps you'll be interested in what's different, what works, and what doesn't!

Long story short: I like the machine but I can't stand the reflective screen.

After being requested some performance benchmarks in another forum, I've updated my MBP comparison with Cinebench results for both machines.

The newer MBP is substantially faster.

Nice impressions, but the screen reflections are VERY subjective. I use my laptop in a room which isn't conducive to light reflecting off the screen. If that is not the case for you, then you're right: the system is terrible! For me, it works out just fine, and the screen vibrancy is wonderful compared to previous generations, even previous gen LED MBPs...

Great review. I would have gotten one in a heart beat but unfortunately I use my laptop everywhere and everywhere I work are very brightly lit (home = windows everywhere, office = tons of florescent lights etc) so the screen is hard for me to use. Too bad because it is an excellent machine for what it is!
