    lol

Srsly, tho, Boot Camp 1.2 and Vista Home Premium installed with no problems and Vista runs great.

I'm sure it's just cuz' Vista is all new (I've had OS X 10.4 computers before) but so far I find myself in Vista more than OS X. lol

I'm sure that will change once my CS3 upgrade arrives... :shifty

Good to know. I prefer OSX though, but it's nice to know that I'd have the option.

Do you have high pitched noise when using Vista? I get it when I run Vista under BootCamp on my Macbook.

    No noises or whines...

The first day, the fans were running a lil' high under Vista.

After the first day, that stopped happening. There is still more fan action than under OS X but it's not an objectionable amount.

That was probably Vista indexing your HDD.

Looks like I'll be getting a new MBP and 2 new IBM laptops (tablets I think) for work. So I'm gonna try our univ copy of vista in bootcamp (I think we are using business version).

Can you install normal vid card drivers for it? Hows teh battery life?
I don't really like vista, but I'd like to play with it.

You make a bootcamp drivers disc and that got everything going. According to the Device Manager, there were no outstanding issues.

After that you run software update and it went on to find a wireless card update and an X1600 update.

I don't know if after you get it running you are free to use third party drivers or drivers from ATi. I haven't tried and the performance is fine under the "stock" drivers.

[edit] I'm guessing you could run any drivers you want. It seems just like a PC running Vista with no Mac restrictions. Bootcamp just gets around the EFI, after that, it's pretty much a PC.
