    hello all,
anyone who follows the rumors know apple is due to refresh there macbook lines.
well, my GF is gonna get me one of the new ones as soon as they come out. i am gonna sell my current macbook and need a price. What do you think this is worth?

    I have the macbook (black)
    C2D at 2.0ghz
    2 gb ram
    120gb HDD
dvd burner (which was just replaced)
Battery has only 10 cycles (new one from apple...old one crapped out)
    AppleCare until Aug 2010.
Case is in Normal ware condition. Screen is fine.

I bought this in 2007 as a refurbished for 1100.
Current Lowendmac.com prices have used ones for 900, but these dont have the 2gb ram and applecare.

Unfortunately I don't expect much over $900. A brand new MacBook at 2.1 GHz is just $1100 itself, and RAM is cheap now so its not a big factor. Not to mention it has been a year-old MacBook while a brand new one with a newer processor is only around $200 more. The black is a benefit though. So around $900 is my guess!

What do you think a new MacBook will offer you besides a new case? If you're looking for a performance boost, upgrade to a new faster 7200RPM drive, that's where you'll get the best bang for the buck.

I truely would be happy with 900.

i might sell mine...especially if some rumors are true. Truely the new laptop will be a free laptop for me. so its extra cash for me by selling my old one.

Things i would like in the Rumored Macbook
    Aluminum Case - Almost confirmed
LED backlit Screen - Would love to have
a Regular and Pro line (pro having dedicated Graphic) - Would love to have
a Full Multitouch glass Mousepad just like the iphone screen. - sorta confirmed

Apple has sorta realized that cutting the 12" powerbook sorta wasnt a good idea. i hope they will introduce a higher end 13" laptop.

Hopefully we will see some new models on Oct 14th.

I'm pretty sure the aluminum casing and LED backlit display are nearly for sures. As for LED, Apple committed to having its entire line of displays be LED-backlit, so I doubt they'll hold back on that any longer. Multitouch trackpad, I expect as well, whether its glass (which I assume would mean it has a screen underneath) is probably not as likely, at least it should show up on the MBP first.

As Sam said, I think Alum casing is a for-sure and a possibility of LED.
