    iStat Menus
    Adium
    Onyx
    Quicksilver

There's a thread in here with a list of what primary apps folks are running on their machines. You might find some pretty good stuff in there (I'd do a search for it for you, but I'm lazy)

Congrats on the purchase. I suggest getting VLC player because it plays all video formats that Quicktime won't.

I don't know why but I always get a feeling that when I open the package it would be damaged.

    But it never is.

Those are all very good apps, and I highly recommend them! HandBrake, Clamxav, Pixelmator, iWork 09, iLife 09, QuickSilver, Skype, SmcFanControl, VLC, are all pretty cool applications too. ;)

Did you buy it new from apple? it's the old version. maybe you could try to phone apple and tell them to give you the upgrade. The new versions come with the 2.66Ghz processor. It will be free of charge since you are already within the 14 days return back period.

nice. I am still waiting for my 17 inch macbook pro unibody model to come. It is Intel Core 2 DUo 2.66, 320G hard drive, 4G memory, and the Nividia 512M Video card.

I can not wait to have my hand on the new 17 inch macbook pro.

By the way, anybody has any idea of how long it takes to delivery? Apple told me that it takes up to 2 weeks because too many people are ordering them right now.

My MBP 15" was delivered last week after about only two or three days from putting in the order. It said 3 days on the UK website, and the sales guy said it'd be another 5 days on top for the actual delivery but he prioritized it and rushed it through for me.
