This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     My Mac is Speaking to Me!

    I must have inadvertently turned this option on but whenever I'm in an application, my Mac reads whatever is in the application. How do I make my Mac stop talking to me?

    Sorry for asking what's probably a basic question...

    I figured it out on my lonesome. I pressed Apple and F5 which turned it on. I must say, the Mac is so intuitive, you can figure most things out on your own! Sorry for making the new thread.
