Hey guys, so I had taken my MBP on a short plane trip the other day to an interview. I have to say the MBP didn't feel overly big on the plane. And this wasn't a 747/757 jet, it was a very small plane (30-40 passanger size) so the spaces were a bit more cramped and the tray tables a bit smaller.
Overall, it was very comfortable to use, and didn't feel like a massive akward thing.

Just thought I'd say that since no one else seems to have said much about using their MB/MBP on a plane!

    **edit**

should have title this MACS ON A PLANE!!!

Yep, the Macbook Pro is a really slim 15,4", while the Macbook is not that small for a 13,3".

my 160gb hd based 2.33 15" MBP C2D is waiting to be shipped. I can't wait for that thing. I haven't had a mac since the first gen 12" powerbooks came out -- sold it, now I'm dying to get a mac as my primary machine again. i'll post about it whenever it arrives (scheduled for nov. 9th delivery date)

Yeah, between using both MB and MBP, I don't think there is muc of a portability difference. The case is large for a 13.3" screen.

my daughter has the mb and i have the mbp and size and weight wise they feel no different.

as for the first post i still wish apple would come back out with an ultrlight 12 inch. i used it last night on a commuter jet and carried it through the airport. i am the worlds biggest mac fan (had a 128k mac) but it is very heavy and was a touch big for my little seat.

for a couple of years i had a sony vgn 160 pc for travelling and it was light as a feather and wonderfull on a small plane. that being said i couldn't take windows anymore i could never get more the 2.5 hours of battery (people on the forum quoted 5). outlook crashed everyday etc etc. windows just isn't for me. that being said the minute apple comes out with a small and light i'll be the first in line
