hi, i have a 2.33ghz c2d mbp with the 256mb ATI card. Sometimes when i wake the computer up from sleep, i get ticking noises coming from the left speaker area. This happens especially if the fans have been going on.

the sound is like tick....5-10 sec later....tick etc... and it happens until i put the computer to sleep and wake it up again. Sometimes that remedies the problem, other times it does nothing.

Also, when i am using another user account, and i fast user switch into my main one, my dock freezes (doesnt work at all) and everything becomes very slow.

    help :(

Regarding the sound, I'd call AppleCare - or, perhaps even better (since it doesn't sound like a software issue so AppleCare might not be able to do much over the phone), bring it to an Apple Store if you have one nearby.

Regarding the Dock issue, it doesn't happen when you go the other way? Is there a pattern to what programs are open on your main user when you switch to it?

Also try moving the /Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences/com.apple.dock.plist file to the Desktop, then log out and log back in again. If it doesn't happen after that, rebuild your Dock (drag applications to it) one by one and try it again after each to see if there's something special going on there.
