I actually find it easier to use the multi touch compared to the mouse somehow, the touchpad is big so i can navigate as easily as with a mouse and the multitouch gestures make it so much better to use.

I was thinking of getting a mighty mouse but im not sure its worth it as apple gestures make navigateing so good.

are the press buttons on the mighty mouse just 1 button or two.

The Mighty Mouse has a surface much like your trackpad. It depends on where you click, for left or right click.

So yes, you can either have it as a left click wherever you click, or have it sense that you clicked on the right side of it - for the right click.

You won't have pinch or rotate gestures (as far as I know), but you will have horizontal scrolling.

even though things like trackpoint (thinkpad) or multitouch mac touchpad is good. i prefer to use mouse on the side and use the trackpoint or multitouch as a complementary input device, on my computer.

mighty mouse has many buttons. yes, the have left and right click function. this is done by using touch sensor on the front of the mouse, you lift your right-button finger (middle finger) and use your left-button finger (pointing finger) to left click. also, there are 2 buttons on the side.

also, keep in mind that after some time, the 360 scroll wheel on the mighty mouse will get dirty, and require cleaning.

i suggest you go to apple website and have a look, even better, go to the apple store and check it out in person.

i remember reading about people complaining about the mighly mouse. i suggest getting a classic mouse which will easily do the trick.

Do you think that multitouch will be more useful than a mouse in gaming???
    You know the answer :)

One thing I hated about the mighty mouse was that you can't hold down a button and lift the mouse. Because the entire mouse is one unibody casing, if you have to pull the mouse down to move the curser and you have to lift the mouse back to the top of your pad to keep going down, you can't.

And yeah, that wheel gets nasty pretty fast. :p

If not gaming, or doing serious precision work, the mighty mouse is wicked but I couldn't use it for a few things simply because of it's design.

    My $.02

I prefer using the multitouch touchpad on my aceraspire one plus a wireless laser mouse at the same time. In certain situations, mouse is easier to use and sometimes the multitouch touchpad will be easier to use.

I only use the multi-touch even when I'm using my wife's system where the mouse is plugged in.

i use my mouse while playing games which is obvious but otherwise, the trackpad on the unibody macs are accurate enough and have a lot of features, plus the reason why i use to hate trackpads on laptops is because they are too small but the macbook pro touchpad is GIANT.

Aside from the multi-touch, I find it easier to use a mouse than the trackpad.

Apple does have the best trackpad though. As for the mighty mouse, I'm not really a big fan of it really. I love logitech mouses.
