I'm probably going to buy a MAC soon. I currently use a Logitech mouse. I was wondering if I could use the same mouse with OS/X or if I have to buy one from APPLE?

Yes, most mice will work with Mac OS X. Its not necessary to get Apple's Mighty Mouse. In fact, I'd recommend you get a Logitech over the Mighty Mouse; it isn't that great of a mouse. So yeah, most mice from Logitech and Microsoft will work fine.

The mouse itself will work, it's just that some of the extra features may not. If the have OS X drivers for it, which Logitech usually does, you're good.

Yep, my VX Rev works fine. The default button assignments and behavior are slightly different from their Vista counterparts, but it's nothing you can't configure yourself in SetPoint.

My Logitech bluetooth mouse works great on my new MBP. Didn't even have to install drivers.

If it is USB it will work just fine. Logitech doesn't have some of the same Mac drivers/custom applications, so you might notice some buttons don't perform the same.

My G7 actually lost the functionality of its handy "back" button.

will one of these logitech mice work in XP under bootcamp for gaming? I'm looking for a USB mouse that will work with at least right/left click, and a scroll er that also acts as a third button to use in Windows and OSX. Any suggestions?

Of course. It will work just like it would on any other XP machine. The G series are very nice for gaming.

i've thrown all kinds of mice at os x and theyve always worked flawlessly.

even some REALLY weird no name brands. i've even tried this 1.99 mouse i bought from some crap hole store thats wirelss and is actually in the shape of a mouse! it has a tail and whiskers and everything. its so cheap and such crappy quality, but it worked right away. i dont use it becuase its embarassing, and i fear it will blow up my usb port. oh, my point is that it didnt work in xp!
